International Women’s Week concluded with an art exhibit and reception for Heather Hartman Folks on Thursday, March 3 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Squires Library Art Gallery. For the first time, the International Women’s Week subcommittee is featuring an art exhibit highlighting a woman artist during the week-long celebration.
Residential Life and Housing hosted the Mosaic Conference on Feb. 26, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., collaborating with the Student Development office and the Racial and Ethnic Relations office in presenting conversations on racial reconciliation.
Lee University’s Mock Trial Club is concluding its season of research after competing against other universities in regionals on Saturday, Feb. 19, through the American Mock Trial Association. The club is looking ahead to next semester as they begin recruiting students from all areas of campus to join the upcoming season.

Lee University nursing alumna Kelsey Yoder is in the process of raising $25,000 for Remember Nhu and recently established the Freedom Gallery to increase awareness for child trafficking. The Imago Dei team will host its second Imago Dei Experience on Friday, Feb. 18, from 7-9 p.m. in the School of Religion. The club plans to facilitate conversations on healing and growth as God’s image-bearers. The Experience aims to use intimate discussion, presentation and allyship to share the beauty of restoration in the wake of trauma.

After 23 years of service, the Student Leadership Council made the executive decision to dissolve the organization on Nov. 17, 2021. The members are now transitioning into new roles and creating strategies to better serve the Lee community.
Unity Dance Troupe has annually performed “Scrooge” based on Charles Dickens’ novel “A Christmas Carol” for three years but tweaked the show this year, creating a unique experience for attendees. Unity has adapted “Scrooge” into a Broadway-style production featuring original musical compositions, live instrumentals, dance and acting.
This November was the 29th Native American Heritage Month since 1992 when President George H. W. Bush designated the month as the first “National American Indian Heritage Month.” This year, the Museum Center at 5ive Points, located in downtown Cleveland, hosted a variety of exhibits to honor the rich culture of the Ocoee region.
On Oct. 28, Lee students wore shades of green in advocacy for cerebral palsy. Hope Feil, a freshman youth ministry major at Lee who is a part of the cerebral palsy community and passionate about giving cerebral palsy students a voice, started this student-led initiative.
After last year’s virtual program, Lee University plans to return to a live, in-person Classic Christmas event on Dec. 5, featuring music ensembles from campus.
