AnnaLee Corbin, Social Media Manager: My name is Annalee and I am a senior communications major! I am from Dalton, Georgia and recently moved to Cleveland when I started my degree at Lee. I love meeting new people and learning everything about anything! I am so excited to spend my last semester at Lee being the social media manager for the Clarion!

Sara Ford, Senior Designer: Sara Ford is a senior graphic design major with minors in advertising and Christian ministries. When Sara isn’t on her student grind, you can often find her at a thrift store, a coffee shop, or working at Orange Leaf. Although she keeps her schedule busy, she prioritizes and cherishes her friendships as well as her alone time. Working with Lee Clarion brings Sara great joy and deep satisfaction, and she hopes for Lee students to share in her passion of amplifying our student body’s voices.

Morgan Kiehl, Senior Photographer: Morgan is passionate about cats, sunsets and The Vampire Diaries. If she’s not hunched over her laptop editing pictures, you can most likely find her taking a nap, spending time with her best friends or her grey cat named Grayson. Morgan is an art major with an emphasis in graphic design.

Riley Evans, Senior Photographer: Riley is a junior art major with an emphasis in graphic design. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking to various waterfalls, trying new coffee shops, thrifting, and going on random adventures with friends. Someday she hopes to photograph every national park in the United States.

Our History

The Lee Clarion was first published on October 30, 1946 at the Bible Training School and College in Sevierville as “Campus Hi-Lites” - the institution’s first student newspaper.

Following the school’s move to Cleveland, the paper was renamed “The Clarion” before changing to a monthly magazine format titled “Omnibus” in the 1980s. The journal was again renamed the “Lee Collegian” in 1986 and later returned to the traditional name “The Lee Clarion” in spring 2004.

For the first time in nearly four years, the Lee Clarion published a print edition in Sept. 2019. Among other stylistic changes, the print format was redesigned toward a cleaner and more simplistic aesthetic.

Lee Clarion is a student-run news organization. It is a teaching tool of the Lee University Communication Arts Department. Opinions expressed here do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the university or administration.
