1. Rush Limbaugh awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom
President Trump awarded Rush Limbaugh the Presidential Medal of Freedom during the State of the Union Address on Tuesday night.
“Here tonight is a special man, someone beloved by millions of Americans, who just received a stage four advanced cancer diagnosis,” Trump said during his address. “This is not good news, but what is good news is that he is the greatest fighter and winner that you will ever meet.”
Limbaugh has hosted "The Rush Limbaugh Show" for 31 years. Recently, Limbaugh opened up about his battle with advanced lung cancer.
2. Unexploded World War II bomb found in central London
Authorities were forced to evacuate a number of streets in central London after construction workers discovered an unexploded World War II bomb. A second evacuation became necessary when an additional peice of the bomb was found.
Police were immediately called to Soho's Dean Street when the device was discovered, according to CNN.
Thousands of workers were ordered to leave their buildings while police monitored a number of streets in the busy neighborhood.
The bombs were removed by the Royal Engineer bomb squad and the roads have reopened, according to BBC News.
3. Lee to host graduate expo
Today, Lee is hosting its first university-based graduate expo.
The event is titled “Grad Expo: Master the Possibilities and Beyond,” and will take place in the School of Business lobby from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The expo will feature scholarship drawings as well as several opportunities for students to learn about Lee’s graduate school options.
