Three things for November 8
1. 10 hospitalized in flu shot mix up
In Oklahoma, 10 people were hospitalized after insulin was administered in place of flu shots. Each person had reactions to the injection they received from a contractor to the facility on Wednesday.
Tony D. Sellars, director of communications for the Oklahoma State Department of Health, said his facility will report "to determine if we need to follow up or if their action was sufficient,” in a review of the industry.
2. Juul pulls mint e-cigarettes from the US market
Juul Labs announced Thursday that it will no longer sell its mint e-cigarettes in the US due to its rising popularity among teens.
This announcement also comes shortly after multiple cases of vaping illnesses were reported and the Trump administration proposed a ban on many flavored e-cigarettes.
