Brief: Lady Flames to host second round of NCAA Tournament
Not only did Lee University’s Women’s Soccer team earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament, but they are also hosting a second round on their home turf this Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Lady Flames will have the chance to rest during the first round of the tournament on Friday, having earned a first-round bye. Rollins College and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will compete on Friday, with the winner traveling to Cleveland to face the Lady Flames on Sunday.
“We are excited to host the opening rounds this weekend. The team has had a good season and battled through lots of injuries and illnesses at times, but their hard work has paid off,” said women’s soccer coach Chris Hennessy.
The Lady Flames will play on Sunday at 2 p.m at the Lee University soccer field.
