Lee theatre presents 'The Diary of Anne Frank'

Lee University's theater department will present their Lee Day performance of  'The Diary of Anne Frank' tonight in the Dixon Center.

The play follows the life of Anne Frank, a young girl hiding with her family in an attic during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands.

For Aubrey Day, who plays family patriarch Otto Frank, the setting places audiences in the attic with its tenants in a way that is moving and enlightening.

"Audiences can expect a heartfelt, sad depiction of a true story of the horrors people faced during World War II," Day said.

All shows, with the exception of Friday's 8 p.m. show, begin at 7:30 p.m. Additional shows are April 12, 14, 15 and 16. Tickets are available in the Communication Arts Building box office and in the Dixon Center.
