Hampton Named Honorable Mention All-American by WBCA

By George Starr

ATLANTA, Ga. – Lee University’s Mallory Hampton has been named an Honorable Mention All-American by The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) as announced today as part of the NCAA Division II award winners for the 2024-25 season.

Hampton, who injured a knee in mid-January but fought through the setback, finished the season with 438 points scored and a 16.8 average per game. She shot 42% from 3-point range and made over 90% of her free throws (104-of-115). During her three-year career at Lee, the talented guard tallied 1,479 points. She was a two-time All-Gulf South Conference selection and twice a member of the GSC Academic Team.

Said Lee Coach Marty Rowe, “This is another great honor for Mallory, being recognized as one of the best players in the country is a great accomplishment. Watching her battle through her injury and still play at the highest level says all you need to know about her toughness and desire to compete.”
