Girl Scout cookie season begins
Now through March 17, Girl Scout cookie booths can be found across the Cleveland area. The Girl Scouts have made it easy to find these booths through their Cookie Finder
The cookie season officially runs from January to April, with local communities varying their season within this period. For customers who do not already know a local Girl Scout, cookies can be purchased online and shipped directly to one’s home.
One of the primary ways that Girl Scout councils fund their programming is through the annual Girl Scout Cookie program. All proceeds stay in the local area and are put toward activities such as service projects, troop travel and summer camp.
This year’s theme is “Unbox the Future.” According to a press release by the Girl Scouts of the USA Press Room, the theme “aims to remove social barriers that often keep girls boxed in.”
