Update: Best Study Spots in Cleveland Coffee Shops
Since last semester, Fall 2022, two new coffee shops have opened their doors in Cleveland, Tennessee: Plus UltraCafe and Together Cafe.
Together Cafe (9/10)
Do not let Together Cafe’s exterior fool you. Located inside of the Redemption of the Nations church, Together Cafe is a coffee shop dedicated to raising awareness for survivors of human trafficking.
The interior is wide and has lots of open space for customers to eat and sit at. The area has a decent amount of outlets and great WI-FI. The ambiance is quiet with no music playing in the background. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
The coffee is delicious, with the Milk and Honey iced latte being a crowd favorite. Their menu is extensive, with regular coffee options but also smoothies and infused teas available. They offer oat and almond milk as dairy substitutes. They also have pastries and small bites to eat.
Together Cafe is six minutes from campus (2750 Keith St. NW, Cleveland Tennessee 37311) and is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.’ Monday to Friday; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can find them on instagram @thetogethercafe or on their website.
Plus Ultra Cafe (9/10)
Run by current student Roy Callahan, Plus Ultra combines delicious coffee with an anime themed interior. All of the drinks have anime-themed names and the store is decorated with different pieces of merchandise and art.
The Quintessential, or the white mocha, has a delicious coffee flavor complemented by the sweetness of a typical white mocha.
The ambiance of the store is calm. No music plays in the background, just the sound of an anime the staff chooses to play that day. The wifi is easy to access and there are outlets dispersed around the store.
Plus Ultra Cafe is 10 minutes away from campus (200 Paul Huff Pkwy NW, Cleveland, Tennessee 37312) and is open from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday through Saturday and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. You can find them on instagram at @plus.ultra.coffee or at their website.
