3. Drought reveals 113 million-year-old dinosaur tracks in Texas
In central Texas, a river has dried due to a severe drought revealing dinosaur tracks. These tracks are known as a “lone ranger trackway” for the Acrocanthosaurus who walked the trail for roughly 100 feet.
The Acrocanthosaurus were theropods standing roughly 15 feet tall and weighing seven tons.
The spokeswoman, Stephanie Salinas Garcia said, "With rain in the upcoming forecasts, it is anticipated that the tracks uncovered during the drought will soon be buried again."
As the droughts continue, researchers have also found human remains at the bottom of these dried rivers.
