Three things for November 4
1. Atlanta Braves win 2021 World Series
The Atlanta Braves won the 117th World Series in game six on Tuesday with a score of 7-0.
The Braves won games one, three, four and six, while the Houston Astros won games two and five.
The MVP was Jorge Soler with series stats of three home runs, six RBIs and a batting average of .300. Soler hit the game six opening home run resulting in three runs for the Braves. He is the second World Series MVP in the Braves’ history.
The television viewing average for the series’ six games was 11.75 million. The sixth game brought in 14.3 million viewers, up from 12.6 million viewers of last year’s game 6.
The last time the Braves won the World Series was in 1995 in six games versus the Cleveland Indians, soon-to-be Cleveland Guardians.

2. Biskit NV opens in Downtown Cleveland
The new family-owned biscuit restaurant Biskit NV had its grand opening on Friday, October 29. Free coffee was offered the day of the grand opening for the servicemen and women of Cleveland City and Bradley County.
The Biskit NV Instagram page describes the eatery as “generations in the making, Biskit NV is a restaurant full of love! Our recipes are passed down through the generations, and we are so excited to feed you and your family. ”
The menu includes various savory biscuit options, homemade orange juice and lemonade, sweet biscuit desserts and more.
Biskit NV is open Thur.-Sat. from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. and is located at 270 S Ocoee St.
3. Lee University 2021 Homecoming to take place this weekend
Lee University’s 2021 homecoming events will take place this weekend, Nov. 5-6.
This year’s in-person events are being debuted after last year’s virtual homecoming due to cautions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some of the events taking place will be various athletic, theatre and School of Music events, department dessert receptions, a tailgate party, the homecoming parade and much more.
The Lee University Alumni Relations office invites alumni back to campus each year. This year there will be a Flame Fair highlighting alumni vendors. Some vendors include Rachel Durham with her pottery business, Cassie Privett with “Sweeties,” a shaved ice and dessert truck based out of Fort Worth, TX and more.
