1. U.S. Military plane crashes in Afghanistan
A U.S. military plane carrying “less than five on-board” crashed on Monday in Ghazni Province, a Taliban-controlled area of central Afghanistan, according to the Associated Press.
The Taliban took responsibility for the crash, but U.S. forces in Afghanistan do not have clear indications the plane was shot down.
"While the cause of crash is under investigation, there are no indications the crash was caused by enemy fire,” U.S. Forces Afghanistan Spokesman Col. Sonny Leggett tweeted. “We will provide additional information as it becomes available.”
