Three things for November 27
1. Former CEO of Papa Johns shares his thoughts on companies’ current state
In an interview with WDRB, John Schnatter shared his thoughts on the companies’ pizza and leadership.
Schnatter claimed the pizza is not as good as it was when he was in charge of the company.
"The way they're making the pizza is just not fundamental to what makes a Papa John's pizza,” said Schnatter.
The former CEO also discussed his departure from the popular pizza chain. Schnatter was removed from his position after using a racial slur during a training call.
2. FDA warns consumers about the potential risks of CBD
Earlier this week, the FDA changed its stance on products containing Cannabidiol (CBD), claiming that they could be harmful to consumers.
In a revised consumer update, it reported the potential side effects and risks associated with CBD, such as liver injury, drowsiness and gastrointestinal distress.
It was also announced the FDA had sent 15 letters warning companies that were illegally selling products that contained CBD.
3. Weather could potentially disrupt Thanksgiving travel
Over 55 million people are expected to be traveling this year for Thanksgiving, making this the second busiest time to travel since 2000.
Traveling this year could become even harder due to the two major storms that are expected to hit this week in parts of the U.S.
On Thanksgiving Day, a fairly large portion of the country will be affected by stormy weather, according to Andrew Orrison of NOAA’s Weather Prediction Center.
In an article for Time Magazine, Orrison urged travelers to leave early if possible to avoid potential problems with the weather this Thanksgiving.
