The Center for Calling and Career’s fall Grad Student Fair is set to take place in the Paul Conn Student Union (PCSU) on Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Assistant Director of Calling and Career Cathy Thompson said the fair will feature several graduate programs.

“The Grad School Fair offers a collection of graduate schools and recruiters to come to campus to engage students interested in obtaining graduate degrees,” Thompson said. “There is a mix of academic programs represented, including Lee University’s graduate programs.”

The Center for Calling and Career (CCC) sponsors this event in both the fall and spring.

A total of 90 graduate school programs have been invited to take part in the event on Sept. 25. Lee University’s social work, business administration, education and online courses are some of the graduate programs offered.

MBA graduate student Michaela Micco said the career fair opens doors for prospective grad students.

“I think having The Grad School Fair really opens students’ eyes to the opportunities out there,” Micco said. “It may even help students discover a program that piques their interest that they didn’t know existed before this event.”

Other schools who have accepted the invitation include Union University, Belmont University, University of Tennessee/Chattanooga and Georgia State University.

“All Lee students may attend,” Thompson said. “Freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors—especially those planning to attend grad school for their master’s or doctorate.”

Senior Mackensie Northcutt found out about the Grad Fair via Portico and said this event is a hidden gem.

“Life after college is often filled with unknowns and question marks,” Northcutt said. “An event like this is extremely helpful for students to see first-hand what graduate programs in universities offer, and it allows students the ability to meet with different representatives to hear more about the graduate programs at each school.”

Everyone is welcome to attend the CCC’s Graduate School Fair starting at 11 a.m. in the PCSU.
