Lee University's Center for Calling and Career hosted a Major Discovery event as part of the Lee Day line-up.

Current students and faculty from each of Lee University’s five colleges presented information and personal testimonies to prospective students and their families in hopes of assisting those who may be undecided about what to study in college.

Prospective student Xavier Quiñones is still unsure about what he would like to study but shared his positive thoughts about the Major Discovery event.

“What I know from this experience is that I’m ready to go to Lee, and all my doubts have all gone away and I can just leave it up to God,” Quiñones said.

His mother, Ingrid Estrada, was also encouraged by her son’s experience.

“I definitely felt in my spirit and my heart that this is the place for my son,” Estrada said. “Seeing how he’s reacted makes my heart feel great.”

For the third time since the establishment of the School of Nursing in 2014, Dean Sara Campbell was able to share with prospective students about the growth of the nursing program and how Lee nursing students are preparing to live in their vocation.

“I’ve been focusing on nursing and this [event] helped me decide really what I might want to do with my life,” prospective nursing student Destiny Barron said.
