Lee University's annual Film Festival, hosted by the Student Leadership Council's (SLC) House Committee, will begin this Thursday, April 21 at 7 p.m.

The first event will be a showing of all entries in the Communication Arts screening room.

The following Saturday, a semi-formal event will be held in which awards will be presented to winners for the 2015 competition year.

Colby Carnegis, the secretary of SLC's House Committee, explained that the competition includes three main sections: commercials, music videos and short films.

"As for specifics, it's really similar to last year," Carnegis said.  "There are 10 categories which come with an award, including directing, editing and [the] top overall in each section."
