Weekend wrap-up
This weekend featured the end of the fall regular season for the men's and ladies' soccer teams of Lee University, as well as a travel weekend for the Lady Flames volleyball team.
On Friday, Oct. 30, the Lady Flames finished off their regular season at home with a 5-0 victory against Shorter University. The Lady Flames offense got going early as they grabbed a 1-0 lead in the second minute as junior Kaela Leskovar fired in her third goal of the season.
Leskovar and sophomore Summer Lanter each had two goals in the match.
The Lady Flames go into the Gulf South Conference [GSC] Tournament ranked second in the GSC.
On Friday, the men's Flames soccer team lost 2-1 in overtime against Shorter University.
Senior Gabe Franco gave the Flames the lead scoring his third goal of the season in the 15th minute.
The Flames finish the season third in the GSC, and will host the GSC Tournament against the University of West Florida at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
The Lady Flames volleyball team lost in three straight sets in Georgia to Valdosta State. Freshman Silvia Satori's eight kills and eight digs were not enough to hold off Valdosta State.
Traveling to Florida, the Lady Flames volleyball team lost 0-3 against the University of West Florida on Saturday. Freshman Hillary Hoffpauir led the Lady Flames in assists, for the match, as she piled up a total of 21.
