Carolyn Dirksen announces change in position

Vice President of Academic Affairs Carolyn Dirksen announced today that she would be resigning from her current post, effective May 2013.

Dirksen will be assuming Mary Ruth Stone’s role as director of Faculty Development with the Center for Teaching Excellence.

“It’s meant so much to me to lead the faculty,” Dirksen said during the faculty meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

Dirksen has served as the chief academic officer at Lee for the past 15 years. She has also held several subtitles during that time.

Lee has yet to announce who will be replacing Dirksen as the head of the academic sector.

The Clarion will release more information as it becomes available.
