1. TobyMac mourns the death of his son Truett

Christian rap artist TobyMac is mourning the death of his 21-year-old son, Truett Foster McKeehan. McKeehan passed away on Wednesday at his Nashville home. The cause of death is still unknown at this time.

McKeehan was the oldest of five children and was described as passionate about his music and family.

TobyMac wrote an emotional tribute to his late son on Thursday evening where he shared their final text conversations and praised Truett for his most recent performance.

According to NBC News, a representative for TobyMac also confirmed the news of the death.

2. Tim Ryan drops out of presidential race

Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, ended his campaign for presidency after months of struggle. Ryan was polling at less than 1% and was losing campaign funding, according to NBC News.

Ryan announced the decision in a video to his supporters and said, “I'm proud of this campaign … we’ve given voice to the forgotten communities and the forgotten people in the United States.”

3. Bahamian Connection Club hosts Hurricane Dorian benefit concert

The Bahamian Connection Club — in partnership with the Evangelistic Singers and Student Leadership Council — is hosting a Hurricane Dorian benefit concert on Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. in Pangle Hall.

Admission for students will be $2 and general admission will be $3. The funds raised from the concert will go to Hurricane Dorian relief efforts.
